Rated 3 out of 5 by from Starts easily I’ve had this 26” for about 8 years. Luckily our snow totals have been relatively low the last few years. The 6 forward speeds and 2 reverse are nice to have. The light is adequate to work after dark. It works great in light, fluffy snow. A 14” snow a few years ago was no problem. HOWEVER, moving the chute takes two hands. If the snow is wet this becomes nothing more than a 26” snow plow. We recently had a 6” snow and it was frustrating to say the least. I tried first, second and third gears with the same results. I did not recommend because, where I live, we get more wet snows than dry, fluffy ones and it doesn’t work well with wet snows.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works fine for light, dry snow I live in Colorado and purchased my 3X 26" winter 2019-20. I use it on a cement apron in front of the garage and on a long blacktop drive. It throws the powder well, but bogs down when the moisture content of the snow gets higher. Impeller and chute pack easily, and operations must halt to clean out the workings. The machine also goes through shear pins quickly if you ask too much of the augers. Works fine if you take it slowly and don't ask it to work too hard. This is not the beast advertised and needs to be handled carefully. Considering a trade-in for a stronger machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good purchase [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works great so far. Need a real heavy wet snow to hit to say for sure. Moved the lighter stuff with absolute ease.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Most unreliable machine I've ever owned! This will be my 4th winter with this blower. First time I had it out it broke and I had to drive it 45 miles for warranty work. Second winter the handles for steering started falling apart. Last winter wouldn't start at all. This winter still won't start even after draining and replacing gas. Unreliable all around!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cuts through snow like a hot knife through butter [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned my blower for about 3 years now but really got to use it last winter during a storm where we got about 4-5’ of snow. It cut a path through it really easily. My next door neighbor uses it occasionally as well (when his fails) and really likes it too. I love the addition of the 3rd stage, it helps a lot.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Starts easily but goes through shear pins [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had this blower for several years - maybe 6?.No matter what height snow, I need to have a good suplly of shear pins handy, which doubles the time ot takes to do the driveway. I'm on a family compound with a long private road for three houses. The center front blade can break more than one pin in a 2 hour session. And I have a hard time getting the clip through the pin so that takes time. Had it serviced and they said they put in stronger shear pins. One of their stronger pins broke within the first 10 minutes of use with 4 inches of powder snow. Clogs easily when it's a wet snow, which is common in the lower Hudson Valley of NYS. Keep debating about switching for a model that doesn't have the center blades facing the other direction but renting a van to get it home and then getting it off the van was hard enough the first time around. Heated handgrips are nice and very easy to start.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It starts [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the 26” 3X Cub Cadet 357 snowblower in the fall of 2020. The carburetor was faulty and leaked gas the first day I brought it home. I brought it back to the dealer and they fixed it at no charge except that I had to drive 15 miles one way to the dealer. After several years of only having to replace numerous shear pins in 2024 I had to replace the drive belt. This fall I had to replace the auger drive cable. (FYI: I have a suburban 3 garage-stall driveway and live in Minneapolis.) The most positive aspect of the 3X Cub Cadet is that it starts on the first or second pull every time. I tested the electric start but never have had to use it. The low speed reverse gear barely moves the machine. The pneumatic tires struggle to hold air even and I had to bring one tire assembly back to the dealer to be resealed. That being said, it blows snow very well when it is operational but the fact that it is unreliable I cannot give it more than 3 Stars. Unless you have a device that you can watch YouTube repair videos in the garage I cannot unconditionally recommend this product. If you’re handy, and like to repair “stuff”, then you’ll be satisfied with the CC 3X snowblower.
